Introduction

Jeremy Ferrell:

Hello, and thank you for joining us. My name is Jeremy Ferrell. I'm the Director of Engineering here at VPT. Today, I'm excited to talk about a new 270 volt product family that VPT is now offering, the VXR125-2700S. This will add to our already extensive line of 28 volt input products that we already have.

About the VXR125-2700S

Jeremy Ferrell:

The VXR125-2700S is the first product in a series that allows customers to create a single solution when designing 270 volt input power bus. We're also going to be offering a 250 watt version later in the year. This converter is offered exclusively in a proprietary packaging, which creates dual-sided heatsinking option, V-SHIELD, which reduces the radiated EMI and is water washable, that does not require a post-production bakeout procedure. The VXR125-2700S offers a lot of features of wide input range, 160 to 400 volt continuous, 125 to 500 volt transient, 3.3 volt, 5 volt, 12 volt, 15, and even 28 volt output.

It'll have 2,000 volts of isolation, continuous operation from -55°C  to +105°C without any power derating. We also are offering a matched EMI filter, the VXRF2-270, that will allow you to pass conducted emissions for DO-160 and MIL-STD-461.

We offer screening on this part, which includes 96 hours of burn-in at 105°C, 10 temp cycles from -55° to +125°C, and full electrical testing. The VXR125-2700S allows you to develop a high voltage system operating from a nominal 270 volt input bus. The large transient capability allows you for minimal external components when operating from MIL-STD-704 or from DO-160.
