BLACKSBURG, VA, May 23, 2011 -- VPT, Inc., a HEICO company (NYSE:HEI.A) (NYSE:HEI), received a Platinum Excellence Award this month from L-3 Communications Systems - West. The award recognizes VPT as "achieving exceptional supplier quality and delivery performance."
As one of just two suppliers to receive the platinum level of the award this year, VPT also received a luncheon and in-person presentation of the award.
VPT enjoys a long history with L-3, powering a myriad of technologies for the company including satellite links, flight controls, and communications systems for use in military UAVs, satellites, and ground vehicles.
